One of the highest attended fundraising events in the history of the Albany-Tula Alliance was enjoyed by nearly 100 guests last evening.
Host Charlotte Buchanan graciously donated use of her beautiful home to welcome “The Six of Clubs”, a talented local singing troupe made up of Rich Miller, Bebe Broadwater, Angela Cason, Win Rutherfurd, Nick Firth and John Hargraves. The group performed songs from The Great American Songbook- specifically the songs of Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart and Oscar Hammerstein II.
Guests included Capital Region business leaders, university professors, politicians, board members and even Congressman Paul Tonko.
Albany-Tula Alliance Chair Jerry Shaye shared the importance of a grant opportunity that the ATA recently applied for. If accepted, the ATA would be provided $100,000 to help continue the important cultural outreach and travel between countries.
