Figge has extensive experience in various aspects of healthcare including academics, clinical practice and clinical practice management. In her many professional career roles, she has been engaged and versed in various government initiatives including workforce development programs, regional extension centers, federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) and Health Information Exchange initiatives.
She has developed and supported nationally recognized client loyalty programs and helped to develop clinical process workflow optimizations, best practices and in supporting health reform clinical initiatives.
She has a quarterly pharmacy column that educates pharmacists on important healthcare technologies in US Pharmacist, called TechRx. She received her Baccalaureate in Science and her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences, Boston, Massachusetts.
She trained at the Harvard teaching hospitals in Boston and completed a pharmacy fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA in Drug Information and Clinical Research. She has an MBA in healthcare administration, is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and a Certified Six Sigma Lean Sensei.
Additionally, she has served on various national pharmacy committees for the American Society of Health System Pharmacists and has an academic appointment with University of Maryland School of Nursing.
More importantly to the ATA, Figge has traveled to Tula previously and has been engaged in programs to further support the Albany-Tula relationship. As a long time supporter of the ATA she hopes to bring her passion for healthcare to the Health and Environment Committee.
