Summary Excerpt from Dawn Weinraub’s May 2013 Trip
…Next the driver took us to Lyceum 4. The principal is a wonderful young man (not shown in the photo above) whom I had met briefly in September when the Open World delegation met with Mary Emerson and me to talk about their October visit to Albany. I, of course, was away in Greece during that visit. He and his students and teachers in each level and department were very welcoming and articulate.
This school is state-of-the-art in sciences, arts, humanities, laboratories and creative studies, interdisciplinary studies. They even have a professional t.v. studio where we sat for a brief interview.
We saw amazing equipment for robotics, physics and astronomy on both the lower and upper school levels. I only wish my children had attended such a school. Lyceum 4 is really devoted to ecology and the environment too.
It turns out they are already studying their River Opa in much the same way as suggested by Tech Valley High, which is collecting and analyzing data on the Hudson.
