Time is running out for Capital Region High school students to enter the 4th biennial Albany-Tula Alliance Essay Contest.
The topic for this year’s essay contest includes social media and its influence on modern Russia. We are asking students to research the impact that social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube have had or are having on the Russian culture and its relationship with the United States.
Any students between the ages of 16 and 18 who are enrolled in a Capital Region high school can participate. You do not have to know Russian, and there is no cost to enter. Two winning essay contestants will be selected by our reviewers in April, and will travel with an Albany-Tula Alliance chaperone to Russia for ten days during the summer of 2014.
