The Alliance will unveil a retrospective exhibit on its 20 years of forging sister-city ties between the Capital Region and Tula, Russia. The exhibition will run from September 9 through 22nd at The Arts Center of the Capital Region. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
The retrospective, called “Getting to Know You: 20 Years as a Sister City,” invites Capital Region residents to enter the world of our Russian sister city, Tula. In the 20 years that the Capital Region and Tula have been united, individuals and institutions in both centers have laughed, learned, and created together, enriching and expanding our mutual understanding of our global world. This exhibit celebrates this past and invites a new generation of Capital Region residents into our future by presenting Tulan art and culture, along with video memories from both of our communities
