The “Road to Paradise” was a long and winding one but the show finally premiered this past weekend. Russian Composer, Playwright, Creative Director and Performer Vera Trofimova and her husband Roman, flew from Tula, Russia to Albany to be a part of the performance.
The musical required 8 months of advance preparation to translate the lyrics into English and find a pool of talented high school singers. Local news celebrity Benita Zahn narrated for one and half hours. And, despite only practicing for one day at the St. Joseph Hall on the St. Rose Campus, the show was a big success.
Thank you Capital Region for attending one of the ATA’s most important 20th anniversary events this year!
