Fall 2002 Alliance Newsletter:

"When Alliance members returned from Tula in June they reported on the conditions in the city orphanages. Dr. Natalia Nikiforova, a pediatrician who is now the director of one of the largest orphanages, gave the Alliance a list of much-needed items. A campaign was quickly organized and over $5,000 was raised and taken to the orphanage to purchase clothing, blankets, diapers, washing machines and a refrigerator."
